While the ad itself is a pretty typical introductory-type ad (motherhood, apple pie, patriotism), the fact that he's going to run it in 18 states (yellow on the map), many of which a Democrat hasn't won in generations, is quite noteworthy. I guess Obama was serious when he said he was going to run a 50 state campaign.
